Listed below is a range of other international platforms and initiatives support coastal flood and disaster risk management.
Dartmouth Flood Observatory
The Dartmouth Flood Observatory has been monitoring floods for over 30 years using a variety of techniques and methods, most of them developed for the purpose. The European Commission, the World Food Program, IFRC and other humanitarian actors have operational units that monitor and assess emergencies worldwide, including floods. International forecasting organizations are able to produce flood warnings with increasing lead times.
This work is made possible by data acquired by NASA, the Japanese Space Agency, and the European Space Agency, and funding support from NASA and the European Commission, through the Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System (GDACS) project, Joint Research Centre, Ispra, Italy. The Observatory was founded in 1993 at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH USA and moved to the University of Colorado, INSTAAR, CSDMS in 2010.

Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System
GDACS is a cooperation framework between the United Nations, the European Commission and disaster managers worldwide to improve alerts, information exchange and coordination in the first phase after major sudden-onset disasters. GDACS provides real-time access to web‐based disaster information systems and related coordination tools.
Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR)
A global partnership that helps developing countries better understand and reduce their vulnerabilities to natural hazards and adapt to climate change. Working with over 400 local, national, regional, and international partners, GFDRR provides grant financing, technical assistance, training and knowledge sharing activities to mainstream disaster and climate risk management in policies and strategies. Managed by the World Bank, GFDRR is supported by 34 countries and 9 international organizations.
Global Flood Partnership
On 6 March 2014, the Global Flood Partnership kicked off during the 4th meeting of the Global Flood Working Group. The Global Flood Partnership (GFP) is an informal network of scientists and practitioners from public, private and international organisations interested in global flood monitoring, modelling and forecasting.

PreventionWeb
A participatory web platform for the disaster risk reduction community. Its primary purpose is to facilitate an understanding of the subject of disaster risk reduction (DRR) and the work of professionals in this area by providing current news and views on the topic, and tools for exchange and collaboration. PreventionWeb is a project of the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR).
