You don’t think about these typical things a lot when you were born and raised here and if you have always known it. It is only after some time that you start to think about it. For me personally it was my time with the scouts. We spent most of our Saturdays on the beach and in the dunes.
When the weather is good, it is very tempting to go to the beach or the dike to have a walk. Even during wintertime a good stroll on the beach can be very nice. I often go running on the beach. I am used to that so you are not really aware of it, but the sea and beach always come back in our daily habits.
